Property Masters Lawn Maintenance is looking for an Account Manager to manage existing residential lawn maintenance accounts and to provide estimating and sales to new lawn maintenance clients.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
1. Must have strong experience with sales, setting sales goals and meeting & exceeding sales expectations;
2. Knowledge of lawn and landscape care;
3. Must have excellent communication skills; and
4. Strong work ethic and organizational skills are required to perform day-to-day tasks.
5. Strong managerial skills
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in business management, route and team management, client contact and communication, and understanding regional plant material. Candidate should be bi-lingual (English/Spanish).
PRIMARY DUTIES: Manages sales, manage day to day operations for maintenance crews within assigned territory (3-5 crews), contract bids and expense control for residential lawn maintenance division. Ensures preventive maintenance procedures are carried out on a scheduled basis and completes maintenance records for all equipment. Evaluates equipment and supplies for durability and value and makes recommendations for purchases within approved budget. Develops and implements training procedures to ensure the safe operation of all lawn maintenance equipment.
Schedules, assigns and inspects the activities of teams responsible for:
1. Mowing and trimming lawns
2. Planting grass, flowers, trees and shrubs
3. Trimming and pruning trees and shrubs
4. Applying herbicides, insecticides and fertilizers
5. Litter and leaf removal
6. Minor maintenance of parking lots and sidewalks
7. Landscape enhancements
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises and leads a 3-5 person team insuring that routine lawn care tasks and extensive lawn management services are performed as outlined by contractual agreement between Property Masters and clients to customer’s satisfaction. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training, planning, assigning, directing and inspecting work; performance evaluations; recommending the hiring, rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving client problems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), three years of responsible grounds keeping experience, two years of supervision and, 2 years of sales experience, courses in lawn care and grounds maintenance or a combination of education and training.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend and write simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to associates, vendors and contractors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Certification in Use of Hazardous and Noxious Chemicals is desired. Licenses in irrigation and chemical application are a plus.
